"He's a sweetheart,  I really do love him." Nevia whispered quietly. "I really do."

((New day? It's been months I can't remember what's going on - unless there's major drama anywhere?))

"There's no loophole, Atticus. You don't think I haven't looked?"

"He's sweet when he wants to be. A little shit otherwise. Nobody ever wanted to deal with him."

"He's sweet to me, even when that isn't what it intially seems like." Nevia whispered, "And it's frustrating, because I don't think one person understand just how much I love him, just how much I care. I'd die if he did, literally I would because of the deal I made with him, but…. But you know what I really mean."

((no I don't think there's major drama anywhere...expect maybe on Outcast Village, the numbers had been bound to new contracts and Ephram had just methis daughter, but we can start a new day if you want. oh and by the way I might suddenly poof but that's because my internet signal is naff for some reason))

"He hasn't manipulated me to love him, Luci. You sound like Atticus. This is genuine. I'm not easily manipulated, no matter what anyone says. How would me loving him benefit him anyway? So far all it's seemed is a burden."

"I'll go myself then!" Atticus snapped, heading out of the front door then.

"Oh, hun," was all Luci said, making his way up the final set of stairs.

Anastasia stayed cowered against the cupboards.

"It's real." Nevia almost hissed then, "Don't patronise me Luci. I know when I am feeling something and when I've been tricked into it."

Atticus quietly closed the door behind himself.

"I could drop you right now," Luci said suddenly. "Back down the stairs, back into that hellhole. Theo's the only one that went after you, not so hard to convince him to just walk away."

Nevia tugged at her own hair frustratedly, moving out of his arms and almost hissing, "I can walk. I'm no child. Stop it. Stop..."

Luci just adjusted his grip for every movement she made, making sure she didn't get free and fell silent.

Nevia lifted her hand to bite onto her hand, needing to let her frustration out in some way.

Luci started humming cheerfully as they left the compound and stepped into sunshine.

((It probably would have been a no, a warning to get uninvolved with Anastasia and then, because relationships aren't against the rules, a guideline on how a hunter is dismissed from duty?))

Nevia flinched at the bright weather, turning her head to hide her face in his shoulder.

Anastasia had grabbed an icepack for her hand and was sat in the living room, injured hand in her lap and other hand scrolling through her phone.

"It's worse than a hang over," Nevia whined, moving her hand to knot her fingertips tightly in his hair. As if she feared the sun, though in reality it was to bury her face further into his shoulder and block out even more of the light.
